The Kansas City Woodworking Show got underway Friday in the Governors Exposition Hall at the American Royal complex. The show, featuring about 40 exhibitors and 14 educators, is put on by Woodworking Shows LLC of Boston, Mass. Laura Heflin of Topeka learns how to lathe a wooden pen from Dale Darnell of Prairie Village. Darnell is a member of the Kansas City Wood Turners Club. He was working at the Craft Supplies USA booth.
